FSC Advantage Shrinkage Compensating floors have up to 90% fewer joints with no curling and greater durability.

Overview

FSC Advantage Shrinkage Compensating floors have up to 90% fewer joints than conventional concrete with reduced curling and greater surface durability. The FSC Advantage floor easily withstands the abuse of excessive forklift traffic while maintaining its durable light reflective surface. Trap- rock and steel armored joints increase durability and cost savings over the life of the facility. It is the ’Advantage’ every high traffic facility owner needs knowing the importance of the experience for proper installation.

The Process

The FSC Advantage Shrinkage Compensating floor process starts with an optimized concrete mix design, utilizing expansive cement. The design is tested in-house and adjusted until the proper expansion and strength is reached. Working closely with the ready-mix provider allows Fricks to achieve proper gradation of aggregates and control material consistency creating the most effective concrete mix possible. Fricks’ on-site testing allows us to monitor the mix in real time to ensure superior quality control and the most durable floor slab available.
